Sean Murphy, coached by Matt Ungemach, today sculled a huge, brave race to win bronze in the U23 World Championships in Poznan, Poland. He did himself, Matt, and the Club proud.

Sean started his rowing life in the Winter Program in 2012, and then represented Australia in the Junior M4- in the Junior World Championships. He was invited to join the National Training Centre Senior A athletes but elected to come back to Mosman so he could finish his physiotherapy degree. He made the Senior A LM1X final in the 2018 mini-World Championships in Lucerne.

If you saw the video, you will have seen how absolutely delighted he was with his medal, and he should have been. It’s a tribute to him, and to Matt’s coaching.
